Someone asked in this forum, IIRC, about wether or not anyone had done a 30mm Gau8 necked down to something like a 50 cal for long range work. At the time I didn't know of one, but in the latest IAA Journal there was a submission by a member of a round given to him upon his retirement from CCI. Additionally they made one sample round.
So for whoever it was that was interested, this is a link to the drawing.

sorry that it is missing the bottom, but there was nothing else in that area.

Anyone ever see the 50 McMillan FATMAC, it's made by shortening the 20mm canon case, looks like a huge 6mmBR, holds 415 grains of water and fires a 750 gr A-Max at more than 3400fps using 330 gr of powder compared to the 50BMG which does 2700fps using 225gr of powder.

OAL is 4.666" and energy is almost 20 000 ft/lbs from a shoulder fired weapon, albeit heavy as hell shoulder fired weapon.

ya, just a bit, bullseye powder, hmmmm, 527 000 cup, i do not think so, guy has a sense of humor though

Never too much money and I am so far behind I think I am alone, but I did stumble on 500 rnds of 30mm and it seems a shame to not shoot them

Let me know if you're looking for an apprentice

I've got a 50 Fat Mac in my cartridge collection, and I'm always looking for other odd or unusual examples; I'd especially like to get one or more examples of the Polish Maroscek 8mm Anti-Tank (I can do a cut-away of damaged rounds).
