Bought a Haenel Jager 9 and it comes with a takeoff mount. It’s not the large recknagel 12mm mount but a smaller one, haven’t seen it yet so I’m not sure about the brand.
It’s in 30mm which is a bit limiting for light scopes
Intend to use for mountain hunting for elk, sheep, caribou etc. I don’t like scopes over 9x and prefer low end to top end magnification. 1.75-6, 2-7, maybe even 1-8?
I’ve been thinking of an S&B hungaria 6x but it might be a bit too high for some thicker areas. Experiences? Opinions?
Plain duplex or similar, maybe a simple BDC
