Hey gang. Since I've had such wonderfull results with my .308 Winchester loads, I'm getting anxious to reload some 32-20 casing that I have laying around. I'm not into casting my own lead bullets so now I'm in the market for something to top these cartridges off with. I'm not real picky in regards to weight as I haven't got a load worked out yet. I'll be pushing these bullets down the pipe of an old original Marlin 1894. Those of you who are into such a caliber, would you recommend staying away from jacketed bullets? If not, does anyone have any recommendations on which commercial bullet to use? I have a ound of Bullseye sitting on the bench and was hoping to use that...If possible.

Bring on your suggestions and or tips...They are appreciated.

Cheers!
- Dan

Don't load it myself, but I do have data in my old Lyman book if you want it. E-mail me if you want it. toheir@hotmail.com
No Bullseye loads though(there is Bullseye data on Reloader's Nest using Hornady 100 grain XTP bullets). The accuracy load with all bullet weights, cast and jacketed, given is with IMR4227. In theory, it uses a .310" jacketed bullet and .311" to .312" cast bullet.
All the bullet manufacturers seem to think the cartridge is only a handgun cartridge. I'm only seeing .312" jacketed bullets.

If you want a cast bullet try the bullet barn. They list a 96 gr fn bullet that should work well in the tubular magazine. I have lots of load data for the 32 wcf, send me a pm if you want and when I get a chance (away till friday) I will email you with some recommendations. It is a great round and everyday I regret selling the 92 that I had. Remember that the necks are very thin and you need to be patient loading these or you will crumple the brass.

Ben Hunchaks look pretty good to me, I have a bunch but yet to test them.

FWIW the .310 7.62x39 123gr(?) Hornady work great in my gun. * Keep in mind my rifle is a bolt action and you could only load the spitzer one at a time.

Prolly best to determine bore dia., M.T. Chambers has a nice 120gr. flat pt. avail. in any hardness and choice of dias. .308,.309,.310,.311,.312,.313,.314,.316"

Lee also has .311 molds for the 7.62x25 93gr............ I'm going to be casting some for a guy building a custom highpower PCP airgun....................Harold
