.32 Auto FMJ

I miked the base end and it is showing .337" internal diameter. It must be later than I think because I miked the barrel end and caught myself saying,:" .308", now isn't that a coincidence.

OD of base is .504".....Inside diameter of step is .382"

Your adapter is good because it takes .32 S+W (lead bullet), what's the use of the .32 acp ones for the .30/30, most factory .32 ACP ammo you are going to find is going to be fmj, useless for hunting in Canada pretty much. On the marlinownersforums a guy worked up a load with a .314 lead round ball, a .22lr case full of bullseye, apparently this fellow was getting pretty nice groups at 50 yards with this load in a Marlin 336 (.30/30), he was using buckshot so the most expensive part of the reload was the primer. I suppose the Hammond Game Getter is another good choice too, but the thing is unless you get more than one you are sort of restricted to a single shot but in the Hammond's favour, you can use rounds for a Powder Actuated tool, (although these are expensive) nothing fancy required except for the bullet (he recommends a lubed bullet with a gas check if you are using the heavy loads).

Being able to shoot 32ACP FMJ with an adapter...Cheap practice.

If you reloaded with lead bullet...then good for birds, squirrels etc. when hunting larger game, but loud report. Hammond game getter report not so bad, but have to reload on the go vs. just getting another round out of pocket.

I've only used my 32ACP in 303BRIT adapter as cheap practice (read trigger control) and really to see how well it worked. The one I got is a Marbles (I think) and it took me a long time to find this one (just never know what's going to show up at gunshows). Just more fun stuff to fiddle around with.

Given bore diameter differences between 303BRIT and 308WIN...what's been the experience with 308WIN shooting 32ACP with the adapter?

-32acp might be plentiful in Calgary but I have not seen it around here in quite a long time. - For that matter I have not seen any .32 S+W around for quite a long time either, unless it was at a gun show, for which you paid 'collector' prices, also the Powder Actuated tool power loads are not cheap either.

.32ACP +/or .32S&W in rifles using adaptors.....

I believe that Speer makes a .30 cal 100 grain jacketed round nose "plinker" soft point bullet that also can be loaded into .32ACP or .32S&W cases for a light "plinking" round. The soft point bullet would be ideal for small game at moderate ranges. 'Course you'd have to work up a load for your particular rifle once you had an appropriate "adaptor".
