My son watches me build an old 50 cal hawker kit I scored at a gun show now his 9 year old self wants to build one. Where and you buy a 32cal muzzle loader kit in Canada?
Does anyone know of any small shops so where in Canada that specialize in muzzleloaders?

I dont know about in Canada but deer creek products in Indiana might have a 32 cal kit or track of the wolf. Both places ship to canada.

The only things that would qualify as a "kit" in the sense that it is within the reach of a 9 year old would be one of the Traditions kits ... looks like they make a "Crockett Rifle" in .32 so that fits the bill.

Call your LGS and see if they can bring one in, Cabelas.ca also seems to carry Traditions stuff, I have seen Traditions cannon kits in my LGS so I know they are available up here AND you MIGHT be able to order one from a US retailer, should ne be an issue shipping a flint kit.

Pretty much everything else is less of a kit and more parts conveniently organized ... they will take probably several weeks of work and significant knowledge ... and won't be cheap. somewhere between $1100 - $1500 after shipping exchange and probably duty. I don't know of anywhere in Canada selling parts kits. :(

The CAA factory kits from the 80’s or something similar is what I’m looking for.

Then you are looking at something like the Traditions Crockett rifle. They aren't on every street corner though in Canada. The other thing you could do is contact a retailer who sells Pedersoli guns and see if they can/will order one of their various models in kit form. Pedersoli does sell kits. But it would be a long wait to get one in.

I have already tried ordering both traditions and pedersoli. The distributors say the soonest they can possibly deliver is 2021. possibly as late as summer. I’m hoping there might be something already in Canada.

Then you pretty much are relegated to want to buy ads on various sites and hope for the best. You could also look in the US. Kits like you are looking for are likely easier to find there as long as the seller/retailer is willing to ship here. Black powder guns are not considered firearms down there.
