.32 LONG SHOT in a Smooth Bore - Long Range

We are getting a Rattus Rattus (Black Rat) problem in the Okanagan , you can
tell buy the size and number of Rat control devices in Canadian Tire

Been testing my Stevens Favorite No. 20's , Smooth Bore .22 Long Shot.

The results are quite rewarding after shooting .22 Shot in a rifled barrel.

Yea a good shot would use .22lr but SHOT reduces hole size.

Stevens Arms & Tool Co. are a little enthusiastic when they clam
a No. 20 in .22Long Shot is effective to 25 yards tho here are a]
couple targets stretching the distance out to 6 mtrs & 9 mtrs .

Using 50 year old CIL Whiz-Bang or New CCI ammunition has little
to no difference in shot pattern .

We all know .22 SHOT shells but this is .32 LONG SHOT fired from
a No. 20 Favorite .

I knew that .44 SHOT is available and really suprized to find
SHOT Cartridges in almost all calibres up to 45-70 , .410guage.

Very cool old ‘shotguns’. My only favourite is in .32rf. Amazing difference without rifling. Makes me want to compare a few of my .22’s with shot. Marlin microgroove vs others. I grew up in the country where you could use a 7mm rem mag if you really wanted to. Now I live in the city and my crosman pump .22 pellet gun is pushing boundaries. It does wack pretty good though.
I think your rats are in for a bad day.
