32 pat, griffin howe,lyman, SMLE ?????

Hi experts, I have this griffin and howe side mount with removable base, rings and a lyman challanger scope. It seems to fit up on a no 4 smle. The scope is optically great and everything is tight and nice. I was wondering if anyone know anything about it and what I should ask for it in terms of trade value or sale?

Interesting. Are you sure that the base is for a No. 4, and not another flat sided receiver? As far as I know, the ring sets were more or less universal, and bases were made for different rifles. Most of the mount sets you see are for the more common US sporting rifles, Mauser sporters, etc. No idea as to value.

Thanks Tiriaq, I don't know for sure it is for a no4, A friend took it home and said it fit on the flat of his no4. I only wish it would fit a mauser!

It might be possible to find a Mauser base. I've seen G&H mounts on Ebay for Springfields and Winchesters. This would also be a good system for Mannlicher Schoenauer rifles.
