It seems wrong to butcher up an old Favorite when you could just buy a .22 repro version although they don't take down and are not antiques. Half the fun is a neat obsolete cartridge and "dicking around" ,I do a lot of dicking around and rather like it The .32 rim seems like a neat cartridge for small game and I am looking forward to trying it. For a single shot the dixie cartridges and .32 balls seem like a great idea and because I got both cases and balls with the gun all I need are some .22 blanks and BP substitute.
I like the idea of being able to make the old girl work again just by using the dixie cases and a bit of fiddling. It suits the kind of gun it is ,the type that you would get dinner with when times were tough.

Meh. Undoing a total of three screws, and swapping in the parts is hardly butchering it. That's the barrel retaining screw, the two screws that hold the lever and block in place. 100 percent reversible.
Myself, I'm not that enthused to be dickin around with the low end of the power scale on an antique, when I have a bunch of 22's available that I can shoot at the same ranges. Antiques on a centerfire case, though, I figure to be worth the bother. Different strokes, eh?
The new versions of the Favorite look kinda cheap and nasty to my eye. The build quality just ain't there. And they want too much for them, too,IMO.
