A relative has a .32 Savage semi-auto (1907 I think). I am looking to find some sort of direction on how to pull this gun appart and lube it up for my relative. Besides the directions of pulling it appart, it there anyhing else I should be cautious of?

Pull back slide, engage safety catch.

The rear part of the slide (which the hammer is part of) is actually a separate part called a breech plug.

Grasp it, squeeze hammer and b/p between thumb and index finger and turn it one quarter turn to the right.

Breech plug can now be removed from slide.

Hold back trigger and release safety ... ease slide off frame.

Grips are held on by dovetail slots ... place fingers through magwell and top of frame and push outwards at center of grip. They should pop out ...

The NRA Firearms Assembly II book is quite useful. Use info for Savage 1910.
