I recently picked up a S&W 32 rimfire, I am pretty sure it is a model 1.5,at least I think I'm sure. It has a birdshead grip, the 3.5 inch barrel but a six shot cylinder. I was under the assumption the model 1.5 only come in five shot. Please clear this up for me fellas.

Are you sure its a 32 RF the 22 RF models were 6 shot
unless its the non fluted cylinder model no 2 old model. they had 6 shot 32 rf cylinders but there barrels started at 4" and 5" and then 6" they were Octagnal barrels.
Post a picture if you can.
I just bought a sweet Colt newline and its a 5 shot 32 RF gun as were most Spur trigger 32 rf guns of that Era.

Yup, I've got two .32 rimfire shorts, and they're both 5 shot.
Still, it would be pretty difficult to mistake a .22 barrel for a .32, so I'd like to see a pic.

They were a birdhead, spur trigger...very similar to the tip-up 1 1/2's
...but those were 32S&W...not 32 rimfire.
There were a few american made clones out there as well...some were identical to the Smiths. Do the patent dates on yours match the real S&W 1 1/2's?

Not sure how to say this but I screwed up. I went to take it apart to take pictures to post and I had the wrong cylinder in it. I wish I would have caught it before I made a complete ass of myself, but it's not the first and won't be the last time that happens. It does have a 5 shot just like all the rest.
