Well - to sum up what's been said before really quickly ...
it's probably not 'all that and a bag of chips', it's an interesting cartridge and if you don't have a 300 wsm in the arsenal you might want to take a look at it, but it's probably not going to offer such an increase in performance that you'd want to switch.
THat's the short short version anyway
I don't know if anyone's actually managed to shoot anything with one. Still pretty new.
Well I tend to dissagree with you Foxer... this cartridge should offer significantly more energy than a 300WSM if it performs as advertised. It is right up there with the .338 on paper.... :?
That said I haven't had the opportunity to test one out yet.

Oh heck, that wasn't my opinion i was just paraphrasing all the stuff from the last 2 threads (it was sort of the more common opinion).
I haven't got a clue - i've never shot one
Having said that .... I DO have a buddy who's been shooting 8mm magnum for years on moose and he says they're just lethal and perfers it to a 300 win mag. Now i believe these wsm's are pretty close in performance to that ... so i guess if you were to assume it was basically the same then according to him they pack a helluva whallop.
No matter how you slice it, it's probably going to put a good hole in whatever you hit with it
