So I have a Browning X bolt in this 'discontinued' caliber/cartridge

I have finally gotten some 200grn Accubond to work up a load for.

with the powders I have available I'm thinking H380 will work. Seems a little fast for a big cartridge but looking at the data:

H380 61.0grn 2,629fps 50,700 PSI Max 64.8grn 2,777fps 60,000 PSI

even the Max looks fairly mild

I have a Winchester M70 in 325 WSM. It is a very accurate rifle, and hits quite hard.
I shoot the 195 Hornady, the 196 Norma Dual-Core, and the 200 Accubond.
I have not tried H380 [I have some] But use Reloder 22 to drive the 196 to 2900+
I have only shot 2 animals with my 325, but both were DRT situations. Dave.
 
just shot a few more rounds that I loaded up with 150 grn Hornady. 70grn H380

I really need to get those over the Chrony next time.

Accuracy is very promising, but I forgot my range bag (with the chrony and my bipod) so I was shooting using an old lawn chair as a brace.
 
I never found this cartridge to like the lighter bullets, basically stopped shooting anything under 180 grains but also likes all types of powders. My go to powders is Reloder 17, 66.3 grns, 200 Accubond - 3003fps, 66.8 grns, 200 grns Partition - 2989fps, 65 grns, 220 grns Gameking - 2865fps, 68.2 grns, 180 TSX - 3153. All chrony test were done in fall and winter and show subtle signs of pressure. I have tried H4350, Ramshot Hunter, IMR 4831, IMR4007SSC, IMR 7828 SSC, RL 19 and all favor a certain grain of bullet but only RL 17 gave highest velocities for all weights. Lot's of fun reloading, wish I could afford more calibers to play with. Cheers.

so was out with the chrony, 3248 FPS was the average.

I'm still 1.5 grains below published max

but I'm only using the 150s for fireforming. This winter I'll work up a load for 200grn Accubonds, I hope to get around 3000fps.

my 300WM is shooting 200grn accubonds at 2960fps so I would hope to get a little more out of the 325WSM
 
A little late to the dance but I can offer you what works for me. First off many like to poopoo this cal but if I had to go to one gun I think I would choose this one. A bit of a mule at the bench but my Browning X-bnolt in stainless loves anything I can put in it. First off I have two loads for the 200gr Accubond. More speed or more accuracy, take your pick. Unfortunately I don't own a chrony so can't tell you what thier speeds are. 200gr Accubond, 62.5gr H4350, WLRM primer, winchester nickel case cut to 2.090", COAL 2.895.
200gr Accubond, 64.5gr H4350, winchester nickel case cut to 2.090, COAL 2.895
Then came Hornady. Game changer with 170gr SST. This bullet makes this cal an all around, versatile cal in my opinion. 170gr Hornady SST, 65gr H4350, WLRM primer, winchester nickel case cut too 2.090", COAL 2.885. (67gr of H4350 also an excellent load)
Then came the GMX. It just kept getting better. 180gr Hornady GMX, 67gr H4350, WLRM primer, winchester nickel case cut to 2.090, COAL 2.935.
Both the GMX and SST offered more than one loading in the work ups. Infact I had 3 clusters to choose from with the GMX. Too bad I have a wide assortment of hunting rifles to choose from. As of yet I have only taken a black bear with it.

Hello Jim, Browning X-Bolt stainless. I just moved my safe the other day and had help from a friend. The .325 was the last to go back and after a short discussion about it I told him for me, I could probably get rid of everything and keep that to do all my hunting with. Ofcourse, that's not going to happen. Cheers
