I'm looking for a scope for the old man's 366. He has difficulty with iron sights, so it's scope time.

In looking around, I've come across the Bushnell Legend Ultra HD 1.75x5x32mm. On paper, it seems to be about right. Generous eye relief, and will provide more than enough magnification for the distances that it'll be used for. The price is in the right range too: $200 - $300.

I've done some searching on CGN and there are recommendations for the Vortex Diamondback with the same 1.75 - 5x range. I've looked for that model but can't seem to find it in stock anywhere.

Any experience with the Bushnell scope either good or bad?

Any help is appreciated.

I have that same scope on my .308 BLR - no issues at all - clear bright image under pretty much any conditions, holds zero , nothing but good things to say. :)

I believe Leupold has a bit of a rebate going on a few models until the end of the month.
If I was to spend the upper limit of your budget, I'd sure shop for a deal on a Leupold.

I have a first gen bushnell legend 2-7×32 on my 336 and i love it.I don't know if the new generation legends are as good .Sfrc had bushnell elite 3200' 1.5-4.5×32 left for $209 .Would be a good fit and i would go this route before buying a legend for more dolkars.

I've got a newer 3x9-40 Legend mounted on one of my shooters and the thing
looks to be a clear as the 3200 Elites.
Not sure if Bushnell put these out there when they went to the "Elite" series
when they cancelled out the 3200 & 4200's?
