Haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa:rolleyes: . That explains the pushing for a .338-06 as opposed to a .35 Whelen on my thread, a little biased were we;) Very nice, I like the "A Square" stamping. I hope to read a field report soon.

good luck with it. Corlane did a 338-06 for me last year with a Bevan King barrel and it shoots very well with good velocities.

As far as the 35 Whelen vs 338-06, it was an easy decision for me since I had a huge stash of 338 bullets

A rifle project sporting wood - nice too see for a change. Or is it the rifle owner sporting wood Report back with performance

unfortunetly it isn't stainless, isn't under 7lbs, and doesn't have a composite stock, so I'm afraid it won't be able to kill anything! or so the posts on this board have led me to belive :D

Very nice rifle in a well balanced chambering, Amphib. All you have to do now is get rid of that atrocious "thing" you have in the rings :p ;)

well it would look kinda stupid wearing just rings :D

I can confirm you can kill stuff with blued and wood rifles too.;)

Sure it's nice, but ask the big galoot what he did to that nice rifle today.

I'm not telling. Just ask him. You just can't give some people nice things.:p
