Dear experts in 338 precision.

I am aiming to convert a 338 Blaser Mag into a 338 Lapua mag.
The rifle is a Blaser K95 Single shot.

I see both cartridges are rated to 60916 psi.

The Lapua cartridge is based on the 416 Rigby. The Blaser on 404 Jeffrey.
Ballistics between the two are not that far apart.

Ammo in 338 Blaser is a real pain to get in Canada.

Case length of the Blaser is 2.51 inches
Case length of the 338 Lapua is 2.724 inches

Does anyone see any problems that could arise.

Now considering the 33 Nosler as it uses the same case as the 338 Blaser. Both are based on the 404 Jefferey.

What was the largest cartridge Blaser put into that action?

as was mentioned, it is more then PSI. The receiver may not be designed to handle that much energy??????

I would just form the brass from something more common and leave the rifle as is.

338 edge if you reload, it's essentially the ballistic twin the Lapua. If you don't reload you should look at the 33 Nosler and 338 RUM. From what I see it seems easier to find factory ammo for the 33N right now.
