.338 Lapua Mag vs .300 Win Mag

Although it is not thought of as a target round, why not go with the 338 RUM, it is almost as fast as the 338LM and is a lot cheaper for brass and factory ammo. Or the 338 Mystic for that matter. Though it doesn't have the Euro-Caliber uber cool factor that seems to be populat at this time.

Yeah, the .338 LM seem to be more of a Fab than anyhing else..not that it is not a great caliber or anything like that..kinda like a .50BMG

My suggestion? A 7mm RUM. Shoots faster/flatter than a 22/250, 7mm's can be very accurate...whats not to like?

Wolverine Supplies has a 338LM version of mine for sale for about 3000$ w/brake & base if anyone is interested..

Any good loads for a rifle like this?? Hornady has a new 208gr A-Max out & the old reliable Sierra MatchKing in 190gr & 220gr sound promising..
