Hello guys,
Im looking for any help I can get, either published data from someone with a swift manual or first hand experience with the 210 scirocco. I went out this afternoon and tested a load I came up with based on the 200/210 load data from noslers manual and h414/w760. However with my starting load, the mid load listed 2 grains under max I experienced flattened primers and slight ejector marks.
Thanks
Brian

Hello guys,

There is a very large discrepancy between the Nosler loads and those recommended by Hodgdon. For H414 Hodgdon recommends 60 to 67 grains. Nosler says 67 to 71 grains. Your experience would suggest Nosler is wrong, and Hodgdon is right. I always like to find two independent sources of load data that agree with each other before I actually use the load.

I am using Hodgdon's Hybrid 100V behind that 210 Scirocco, with very good results.

It yields 3020 fps average, and groups stay right around 5/8 moa right out to 400M.
My 338 has a 26" barrel, so if you are running a 24", expect a bit lower velocity.

Keep in mind....you MUST start at least 4 grains below my load and work up carefully.

I am seating the Scirocco off the lands .020", so may want to start around there if
your magazine will allow it.

That Scirocco is a great bullet, so if it will shoot in your rifle, it is a top choice. Regards, Dave.

Here is my load: Case - Winchester; Primer - Fed 215; Powder - 71.5 gr of 100V;
Bullet - 210 grain Swift Scirocco.

Hi guys thanks I've been recommended hybrid 100v by a couple guys now also h4350 may have to go shoping for some powder. The load I used was 69.5 grains of h414 .050 off the lands and velocity was 2901 noslers data called for 2902 so it was right on in that regard.

I would try H4831 and H4350 ahead of 100V. You probably won't get more velocity, but you may get close to 2900 without going over pressure.
