338win mag + 275grain Aframes = what powder?

Hey,

I have a batch of these inbound that I'm looking to work up in a moose load.

But I don't find a lot of data on them on the net.

Anyone have a powder they like / recommend?

I have IMR4350 from other development. But keep hearing raves about the RL series - like RL19 - performance in the 338 win mag.

Thoughts?

I've got an old Speers manual from when they had 270 gr 338 and it shows the best results with IMR 4831 and N205 ( It shows a 70gr max load for both powders. ). I found the data in this manual a bit on the hot side. I hope this helps.

I have had good luck with H1000. H4831 also works well.

I was wondering about the H1000 as it shows some of the best speed potential. But I hadn't read of anyone using it so I wasn't sure.
