does anyone know, if there is a hastings shotgun barrel dealer in Canada?
Don't waste your money on one of the hasting 34" wadlock barrels. I know what you read about the groves will change the spin of the wad and shot and improves your patterns by 10% and maybe they do for real light loads that you choke less than modified. They sure don't with lead trap loads and the full choke installed from my experience with them years ago. I know they stopped making them but heard they started again and I would be suprised if they changed the design from the original
You want a real 34" trap barrel save your pennies and buy a used remington like I have for my TC 870 trap
Today they are considered probally collectors items but I have sold one on The EE for $350 since joining here and seen at least 2 more for sale there
Years ago, the standard 30" trap barrel from remington was .042 restriction. The 34 inch remington trap barrel is always less than that and today considered one of the best barrels they ever made for the 870 Trap. Which is why these barrels today sell anywhere from $300.00 to $450.00. There is less noise to the shooter using this barrel, and they smoke targets, which is why they were named smoke poles. I still use mine from time to time when I am in a slump I put the 34" on my TC and it really helps smoothen out my swing and get me back on track.
Run a wtb in the EE you never know and if not get one state side and have Clay bring it in for you
Also don't get it mixed up with the 34" Remington "Duck & Goose" barrel. Know the ribs were different and seem to recall the choke may not have been the extra full like the Trap version but I am going back 30 years here so may be wrong on that
I know on the 1100 34" versions they had totally different gas ports dispite being just for 2 3/4" shells
Model 1100 12ga-34” Trap .079”/ #47 drill 2 ea. Barrel
Model 1100 12ga-34” (Duck-Goose).073”/ #49 drill 1 ea Barrel
Just my 2 cents from a Snob that doesn't know domestic ducks

like Spank does

Cheers
