340 wby

I just bought a 340wby I was wondering if anyone has some good loads that they have used.

250 gr Nosler Partition or 250 gr Speer (for practice), RL22, fireformed Win 375 H&H brass necked down, Win LR Mag primer. 2940 fps with the Partitions, a tad quicker with the Speers. - dan

weatherby brass, 250gr hornady interlock or partition, 88gr of AA3100, federal primers for 2950-3000 fps in a sako 24" barrel. This is my best load as I have tried other powders also and 200 gr loads if you are interested in them, give a shout.

Mine shot very well with 86 grains of 7828 and 250 Partitions
(work up slowly)..I never found a more consistently accurate powder for the 250s.

RL-22 worked very well with the 210s and lighter X bullets.
