340 weatherby and a muzzle brake

hey all, i recently bought a 340 weatherby from a guy on here, the rifle is an older accumark serial number says 95-02. from comparisons to internet pictures the brake looks very similar to a gentry quiet brake, however it doesn't have any sort of stamp on the muzzle end of the brake or any other identifying features. My questions are will the rifle likely have same point of impact with and without the brake? and how much more felt recoil will the rifle have without the brake on? I know that the best way to answer these questions is actual trigger time, however with my work schedule it will likely be another 2 weeks before i can get out again. the ammo that i have been shooting is weatherby factory 250 grn spire point ammo. thx for any input

Shooting with the brake on and with the brake off... point of impact will most likely change and it may require a different load for best accuracy. There is no way to predict this, you have to shoot it and find out. Amount of recoil difference will be BIG.
