I just acquired a nice Weatherby Mark V in this chambering, and fortunately received some brass and dies with it. (The dies are Hornady New Dimesnion, which I really hate, but that's what I have.....)

If anybody has loaded this cartridge, and is willing to share load data, I am all ears.

Thanks!

Doug

Yes I already had that one, thanks very much ricciardelli.

I am hoping for data from guys I know and that have done the loads themselves. Like the range in stevespages for H4350 powder with a 200 grain bullet is 77 to 86 grains, I would like a bit finer detail. Thanks anyway!

"Finer detail" is totally dependant upon your firearm, not the other guys'. The loads at stevespages were tested and fired and show the range from acceptable minimum loads to loads that were just shy of max with the components and firearms I used.

The particular load you singled-out shows a 9 grain range. This is not unusual. It is up to the reloader to find the "right" load for his firearm.

I have three tang-safety Ruger 77V .22-250 models, with consecutive serial numbers, and they don't like the same bullets or powders.

So asking someone else what their rifle likes is kind of fruitless...

Hey Doug.....I've tried Barnes X 225gr. they didn't shoot worth a ####....4" at 100 yards......I loaded up some cheap hornady's,78grs IMR4350 shot 1 1/2" at 100.......But have not done a lot of load development with this thumper
Rifle was a Mark V sporter
