I had a Winchester model 71 std. grade and recently acquired a very nice model 71 in a deluxe grade. Not too far down the road I plan on reloading for it. Anyone out there with some 348 WCF reload info you'd like to share?

For my model std 71 - 348 winchester , I use hornady FTX 200gr , 65.2 gr H-4831 ,fed- 215 primer , av- 2555
Also use hornady FP 200 gr, with 65 gr H-4831
This is a newer production rifle , not the original ones,
Haven’t shot it in a while but, this load was pretty accurate in my rifle.

My 71 deluxe is a Winchester original
Some time back, I picked up some
- Hornady 200gr interlock
- Barnes 220gr FN cannelured
- Barnes 250gr FN cannelured
;) About time to get my butt in gear and crank out some loads.

The online Hodgdon Reloading Data Center has reload data for the 348 Winchester. May be worth a look. Likewise: Lyman's new, 51st Edition Handloading Manual.

I checked my stash of 348 ammo. I have some older boxes of silver tip , a western box from aprox late 1930’s, Winchester yellow box , 2 browning model 71 boxes , 2 silver winchester boxes , and 3 boxes of new winchester unprimed cases .

I like H4831sc,Reloder 15 &19 and IMR 4350 .My most accurate load is with H4831sc

N.B. Lesson learned the hard way.I did not put enough crimp on some loads with the long discontinued Barnes X bullets.A bullet moved forward just enough from recoil to produce a marvelous jam :(
