Any of you krop shooters using .348 win brass without beveling the base? It chambers. I am asking because I ordered two 8x60r cases from buffalo arms & they came unbeveled.
I would let them know. It doesn't seem worth the effort to return two cases, but I think they should replace the defective ones. I ordered 40 cases from them and the rims are ALL beveled. They must have missed those in the production run.
Some unbeveled cases wuill fit in some rifles. The problem starts if the round will chamber and then fired. The primer backs out enough that you can't slide the empty case into a shell holder. Also I suspect that some outfits are offering Kropatschek brass that was formed in Lebel dies as I have received brass that had the diistinctive double tapered case body of the Lebel. So now I just chuck up such brass in my lathe and do the work myself. The kropatschek is a wonderfully shooting firearm and is my favorite of that era's tublular magazine firearms Joe
