Yeah that is what I have been told. Here4 is a pic of the gun. Was hoping to find someone who has had the caliber. Thanks for the help.

I have 1. Load data varies by action/bullet length. In your case with the o.a.l. being determined by mag. length. The setup you have won't support the long bullets. They will be far into the case and eat up powder room. Bullets of <200gn. will be best. Handgun bullets as well. I used the lower end of the 35 Whelan data to start, then worked up to the same as max loads. Mine is a Ruger bolt action. I can load most bullets long. Mark

I picked up some hornady 200 grain bullets today that should work well. I was thinking of using 225 sierra's but put them back thinking on how deep they would have to be seated. I have a few 180 grains that came with the gun. I am using some handgun bullets to fire form the brass. What length do you trim your brass too.

I have never trimmed brass. When necking up, brass seems to shrink short and I haven't had to trim.

I recently picked up a custom barrel for my contender handgun in 358 win. and will at some point rechamber to 35/284.

I use 350 Rem Mag data for mine, as case capacity is nearly identical.

Just to add to this, case capacity (from smallest to largest) is 35-284, 35 Whelen, 350 Rem Mag. This varies somewhat depending on which bullet you use and how far into the case the bullet must be seated to accommodate your chamber's throat. - dan
