Hey Guys;

A good buddy of mine got me interested in the 35 Whelen cartridge.

Since then, I've owned a Nosler M48 Outfitter bolt action & Remington 7600 pump action chambered in it. Both rifles sport the Bushnell Elite 6500 1.25-8x32 scope, they are excellent optics!

In fact, I shot a bear one spring with the Nosler M48 and then my brother borrowed it and shot another bear with it.

The performance is impressive to say the least! Very reasonable recoil & very hard hitting on game.

I currently shoot the Hornady Superformance 200 grain factory fodder, but do plan to reload for it... With how it's sighted in at 100, I should be able to hold dead on out to 300m...

Maybe this spring I'll chase bears with the 7600, I think I'd grind the entire thing up into burger for the BBQ!!!

Another 7600 here, though I haven't hunted much with it yet. I've been using factory Remington corelokt 200 and 250. I'm planning to reload with 225gr Barnes once I make some brass and get through a few other reloading projects. It's a neat cartridge. It sort of led me to picking up a Tikka 9.3x62 because I wanted a bolt action in a similar cartridge so it might be a while before I get around to really using the Whelen much
 
Got .35 Whelen Remington 7400 purchased new owned for many years it's taken Elk, Moose & Deer works pretty good with 250gr Swift A-Frame @ 2500 fps mv.

My 35 Whelen is an H&R Handi-Rifle single shot I picked up a few years back. I have only shot the Hornady 200 grain Superformance factory rounds in it but they have worked great.


 
Haven't owned one. The island I'm on has tiny blacktail, zero predators. Whereas, half an hour by ferry, takes me to the mainland. Similar blacktail, very overgrown, lots of cats, covered in big black bear. Had thought to shoot popper loads using light 357 magnum bullets on the island. Stomper loads for the mainland. Rifle I'm interested in, is the Remington pump.

Anyone try something like that?
 
I’ve had one built on a 98 action and also had a Ruger 77, but my current one is a Ruger No.1. The bottom rifle. In all of them I’ve always stuck with 250 grain bullets.

I picked up a Cva scout stainless takedown in 35 whelen that needs optics before spring bear season. I was thinking a Leupold 2-7 but may research that Bushnell mentioned to see how it compares.
 
I had wanted a 35 Whelen my whole life. I finally had 2 built… One for me and one for my hunting partner. Both were on rem 700’s. Both shot amazing, but I couldn’t fall in love with a Remington. Sold it and bought a Tikka 9.3x62.. Might do another Whelen one day on a Winchester Model 70!!! Nice rifles posted so far!
 
Ruger 77 RS tang safety, super accurate with 250 Interlocks, and extremely deadly on Moose, and Grizz.
 
Mine is a custom Ruger MKII with a Bevan King barrel put together by our own Rembo. One of the most accurate rifle I have with. Shot moose with it a few years ago then took the back seat when I got my .375 Ruger. I had it out last moose season and probably next year.

Remington 7600 carbine 35 Whelen. I switched the stock out for length of pull adjustments with backpack. Nice light gun with the power to cartwheel bull bison.

I have an M77 Whelen and a No.1-A Whelen... great cartridge, I like 250 Partitions over CFE-223... with the current prices of Partitions, I use the Speer 250 HC's for general shooting and light deer and then rezero with Partitions before a hunt... POI only shifts a couple inches @ 100, from HC to Part.

No pics. Remington 700 Classic. Bedded into a HS Precision stock. Trigger Tech trigger. Talley rings. Leupold VX3 2.5-8x36mm. All metal cerakoted matte black. I’m pushing 225gr SGK over IMR 4895. Absolutely love this rig.
 
I've got a M700 CDL stainless, one of the limited runs, they did ten years or so back, shoots well, nice little compact Leopold 2x7 for a scope, think of selling it as moving likely overseas, and need to down size, I will be a bit sad to see it go, not fussy,
But with a .358 win at my moving location and a 9.3 double rifle coming with me it wont be need,
Nice cal, but I actually prefer the .358 win over the Whelen.
 
Mine is Ruger M77, shortened to 20”, McMillan stock in brown with a red recoil pad. Leupold 1-4x in Talley QD rings and NECG front and QD ghost ring in the rear.

And enough bullets and brass to last me 3x my life.
