Looking for some nice accurate, plinking load using 350Grain lead bullets for the 45/70
Marlin gbl
My lee book had lots of lead bullet loads but none for 305 grain
I have the a few different powders
Thanks

Just did a work up of 400gr lead and unique. 12 to 15 grs , shot at 50 yards groups started at 2”, shrunk to .75” with 13.5 grs and increased back up to 2” at 15grs. You’ll find something in that range and get 500 rounds per pound ! That’s efficient fun :)

What is your def of plinking loads ?
I load Hornady 350 gr RN to ~1500 fps
Old trapdoor Rem 405 ran about 1300 fps , the load used by guides and hunters before the 'guide gun' craze

I've been getting good accuracy using 15.5 grains of Trail Boss, driving a 350 grain RNFPBB lead bullet, in my single shot Sharps rifle and my Hi-Wall.
