350 Rem. Mag. load suggestions

what will you loading it for? - moose , bear, deer? Do you prefer a bullet weight?

What model rifle do you have? Are you recoil shy or do you want all the snuff you can get out of that 350RemMag case?

These haved worked well for my 350RMs. Use caution - work up loads!

20" barrel velocities given

58/IMR3031 - 200 Remington PSP_CL - 2751fps - close to factory duplication load

62/ReL 15 - 225 Nosler Partition 2624fps

61/ReL 15 - 250 Speer Hot Core 2547fps

Sorry guys, I should have indicated before. I really like using the 225 gr Nosler Partition mostly because that's what I use in my 81 BLR 358. So I'd like to stick with one bullet for both rifles. The 350 is a 700 Classic and has a 22" pipe. Mostly will be used for bear, moose, deer. I'm doubtful that I'll be shooting past 150 yds. Thanks. Art

Art,

My 350 is a Ruger M77 MKII with 22" barrel. 225gr partition load that is good (a little slow, but accurate) is 56.0gr of IMR4064.

The load my gun really likes is 225gr Sierra BTSP with 58.0gr of IMR4064. I know there are guys that don't like the Sierra bullet (yadda, yadda), but for me nothing has walked more than a few steps and have been complete pass throughs.

Good luck.

James

Art, have you not shot that one YET!?!? :p I can't seem to find what load I did fire in that one before it went to a new home.

Here is my recipe for the 225 Gr Nosler Partitions:

CCI 250 primer

60.0 gr H4895

OAL: 2.89"

It is a bit stiff and may rattle yer teeth with that rifle, but it is a good accurate load for me in my Ruger.

Good luck!

Doug
