Hi All, i just wanted your input on how much do you think i can get for my 357 colt king cobra blue finish,6 inch barrel, never been fired mint condition.

Thanks,

T

Colt snake guns were greatly in demand up to a year ago but their popularity seems to have dropped a bit.
I didn’t realize the King Cobra came in a blued version. Most were 4” prohibs so a 6” might do well.

My guess would be around $1500+/- $200.

The King Cobra was the poor man's Python. Not bad guns but in terms of utility/accuracy/quality not really anything much better than a S&W 586/686. Only the fact that they are no longer made and are less common than the 586/686s pushes their value beyond that of the 586/686. I'd say the above two guesses are pretty close. $1200 give or take unless you find someone who is desperate to have one.

Blued King Cobra's aren't as common as the stainless version. Does it have the factory wood stocks, or the rubber Pachs? Do you have box and papers with it? That will have a bearing on the price. If you don't have box and papers on it, you may have a hard sell on the 'mint never fired' angle. Better to call it EX+ unless you know for a fact it has never been fired (as in you have owned it since new). I'd tend to agree with the $1200 range, with wood stocks, maybe $1100 with Pachs, if you don't have the original box and papers. Add a couple hundred if you do. That doesn't stop anyone from asking for $2000 though, seen a few sitting on the EE for months at that price. Best of luck.

Colt Pythons & Anacondas rarity in Canada appears to have driven up the market value of average production Colts like King Cobras.

"Never been fired" might pan out but then you ad the words "mint." Your description is confusing. That being said, a VG+ stainless or blue KC is a C$1000.00 revolver.

Lmao..... I sold my stainless one In a couple days for 1600

Your blued unfired king cobra is an easy $1500 on a bad day.

Too many people on here that try and devalue the snakes so they can pick them up cheaper. There are also the people on here that say the pythons are not worth 2k but they are steady selling for 3500 plus

I saw a stainless one go for $2100 at a Switzer auction last year.....and that's not including the 15% buyer's premium or applicable sales tax.

A 6" blued one sold for $1500 at the GTA auction on Jan 21 of this year. With the buyer's premium that was $1770 plus tax.

Your KCC in your described condition, i would start ad at 2000$ and bump it down 50$ every week.
Had a nice one, stainless steel, had some use but was excellent condition.

Posted my ad at 1500$, went SPF under an hour.
YMMV

...

I can't say I agree with this. Speaking as someone who's always on the lookout for any Colt revolver there just doesn't seem to be many around for sale. Perhaps that's why you perceive their popularity dropping???? Anyway, if I ran across a blued or stainless Snake gun for $1500 it'd be SPF within seconds of seeing the add. My guess is if it's really that nice It'll be more in the $1800 range after asking $2000.

Condition is everything. If it's in nice shape it'll sell.... Just my thoughts. PM me pics please!
