I have a scout rifle in a 358 Winchester. I along with my kids would like to use it out on the handgun silhouette range. Because of the massive recoil (225gr @ 2400fps) I plan on reloading using 158gr or 180gr jacketed bullets at 357 Magnum or 357 Maximum velocities. My question is this. From my loading manuals there seems to be quite a difference in velocities for either loads. Suggestions by those who load their own - what velocity would you suggest I use to knock down those 200 yd rams?
