I think there is going to be a 357 under the tree this year (fingers crossed). I've been reloading 9mm and 223 for a little bit using cfe pistol for the 9mm. Anyone use cfe pistol for 357 magnum and if so any thoughts. Other than that what powders would you guys recommend for 357 magnum?
Thanks

Full power loads, h110/w296, Lil gun, 2400.
Moderate power loads, imr 4227, aa1680, maybe aa5744 (only tried it in my 500).
Other powders trailboss, tightgroup, w231, aa#2.

H110 and 291 and 2400 make good full power ammo.

The novelty of recoil and muzzle flash wears off, and then you want a good, accurate plinking load.

Medium speed powders are best for middle power. Downloading the full powder powders will not work well.

I use 3.8grTitegroup with a 148 wadcutter, seated out to the crimping groove. This load is very good in 38Spl cases and can be used in 38s.

For 357 brass, I increase the powder charge to 4.2 gr. This is not a sissy load.

20 yards - two hands.

For snappy loads, Hodgdon H110 (Winchester W296) for me. For some 38+P and milder 357 loads, I use Titegroup. Unique works too for some 38SP/+P loads.
