358 Norma LOP

So I gots this factory LOP @15". Im wondering why so long?
Is there something Im missing? Im thinking I should just buck the bugger down to my happy 13.75" so's the unit comes-up and holds like it should.
Or, am I missing something considering its thumb-in-the-nose factor.
First unit I have in the "slightly heavy" configuration.
