Congrats on a beautiful job on that custom shooter - and a very capable thumper.
If that chrony reading is 280 Swifts then that is some awesome power. Also the target looks none too shabby for a 100yds. So I'm thinkin - what's to improve upon?
Somewhere I have the Shooting Times issue where Layne Simpson first wrote up his new 358 wildcat. He killed a griz with his stainless custom in Alaska I think. Some load data too if I remember right.

Well ####, you just made me horny for an STA. I have the winchester version of the 358, now i need its taller sister. This is the same cartridge, save the bullet, as the 7 STW, or 8mm Rem Mag, correct? Damn fine rifle and cartridge sir.

250 gr Nosler Partition over 88 gr of RL22. Got the load out of one of Layne Simpson's articles. Chrono'ed at 2900 fps, kicked like a mule. One eastern MB moose, one bull elk, one cow elk, a couple of white tails because it happened to be what I was carrying. A friend of mine in MB wanted it bad, so it stayed with him one winter. I may build another, although the 358 Ultra Mag is starting to look appealing instead. - dan
Never shot a brown bear. But I have killed a few black bears with 250s at 2400MV and they have always worked to anchor them quickly. Very few brown bears are likely to show up where I do my hunting here in the the east. But I doubt you could do much better than those tough 280 A-Frames for killing a griz fast - especially considering the elevated velocities you are sending them out into the harsh world. I'm guessing you probably have the best of both worlds with both "shocking effect" with significant bullet upset and also significant "penetration" with the rear core carrying the bullet on through. Just a guess though.
The 310 Woodleighs (I just bought some) are very impressive and would work well too on griz I'm thinkin. But you should reign back the velocity quite a bit with them as they are more conventionally constructed bullets - perhaps down to 2400 or a hair more. This is conjecture on my part but the box does recommend 1800-2200 recommended impact velocity. In that serious missile launcher of yours I doubt that ham stringing it this way is what you should do. Again - hard to beat the 280 A-Frames. Northfork make a 270 - http://www.northforkbullets.com/358-270.htm - but I doubt it would be better than the Swift for big bears.
