358 Ultramag built

I'm looking to have one built but I don't know much about the barrel twist and the grooves.
What do you suggest
Will be for hunting purpose so will be lenght around 24inches?

The same twist as a 358 Norma would work fine - 14... and in a 24 inch barrel the 358 Norma would probably be a better choice.

What would you choose and ideal lenght? Hunting purpose.

I used a 1-12 for my 35-338 lapua imp, I think the 12 is the best option for the 35cal bullets. I have a 1-15 on a 358sta and it works but I like the 12 better

1-14 is what I have in mine no problems, of the 2 choices you have I would do the 1-12, faster twist will stabilize heavier bullets better

Which case are you basing it on. IIRC, the 338 Rum is slightly shorter than the other RUM family. If, as the title suggests, you are using the RUM case; it would be easier to use the 375 Rum, but the brass for 300 Rum is easier to find.
