358 Winchester for bear defence?

My first bear, 2 Nov 2011.

From tip of back foot to tip of nose measured 2 inches over 6.5 feet.
Weighed 230 field dressed.

.358 Win. is definitely good for bear, especially in a BLR.

The 358win should work just fine for defense against black bear. I have used similar calibers, but not the .358Win.
Just try to avoid this situation! Is scares the livin SH*t out of you when it happens!!!

I could never quite figure why the 358 Win fell through the cracks after it came out.
Bad timing I guess with most gun writers talking about all the" Magnums" at the time.
Love mine and believe it is a great blackbear rifle.Dont know if I would hunt Grizzlys
with it would want at least a 375 for that,then again with a well placed shot the 358 would probably be fine
