Hey guys,
Anybody know where I might score a set of reasonably priced 35mm low rings for my hunting rifle? Not really got 200$ for rings right now....
Thanks in advance...appreciate the help

There aren't really a ton of options for 35mm rings and none that I can think of offhand that are really sub $200. Off the top fo my head you have MDT Elite rings, Leupold Mk4, Spuhr, and the Vortex Precision matched rings (made by Seekins) and that's about it.

Hey Man, I just bought a set from MDT for just over $200. They just came out and I would have to say that I am very pleased with them!! They are the Elite series.

I can't think of any real cheap 35mm scopes off the top of my head and I couldn't really imagine putting a high quality scope in some Ali-express rings made of unknown quality chinesium that would at a minimum need to be lapped...

I agree with your hesitation to saddle up an expensive piece of optics and risk damage to it...

But.. Id rather have cheap soft "chinesium" rings to form to the shape of the scope tube, than expensive steel rings for the scope to deform too.

And I have run a lapping bar (30mm) across cheap chinese rings before and they didn't need it based on wear pattern, for one piece bases, (picatinny mounted), its very unlikely to need lapping cheap or expensive, not that its not a good idea, or that any of them should be entirely trusted.

Just my personal preference, but I like the idea of lapping bases that may not need it, than taking a lapping expensive bases that shouldn't need it and void warranty or trusting blindly that they don't need it.

I have a 30mm bar in Calgary, no 35mm to offer if the OP had wanted to borrow.
