Just loaded up a couple test rounds for my 1895 win. in 35WCF. 250gr winchester silvertip (old) over 44.5gr. of 44N (imr4895) should send them at 2100fps 'ish
Hope to take the old girl out this deer season (weather permitting) It's a fair weather rifle now.
Anybody else have a good load for this bear stopping round.

I do have a load that I used for Elk and Blackbear in the old 35 wcf.Bertram brass 47.0 grs of imr 4320 250gr Hornady or Hawk rd nose.

That colour case is lovely. Who did the work for you?

Nick at Vulcan gun refinishing, barrel was rebore by Rob Jury. I believe Nick sub'd out the colour case hardening to Oskar Kob.
