360 Buckhammer V 375 Winchester

The 360 can do it cheaper. There's a better selection of suitable bullets in 35 cal as well.
While 3030 brass can be used for both that brass wasn't designed for the full pressures of the 375 winchester loads
360bhmr loaded in a single shot can take advantage of heavier Spitzer bullets as well
The 360 Is up and coming while the 375 win has been forgotten since the 90s.
The 360 bhmr would be comparable to the 35 Remington. History has sided with the 35 rem over the 375win.
I doubt a game animal could tell the difference though

From what I can see they're very similar.

I wouldn't mind a Henry Single in 360. I had a 375 but sold it after I was given a 44RM. Other than the goofy safety I think the later 44RM is a nicer rifle than the 375 comparing them side by side with a sample size of one.

"360 Buckhammer" is a dorky name to me...but its close enough to 375 Win that I wouldn't care which one I had either, all other things being equal.

Which they are not. Would lean toward 360 I think. Not enough ballistic difference to care, personally

yeah i think they are both better than the legend :)

yeah fair on the upcomer an the has been... not much market on the 375wins down here so i wouldnt be able to offload for a henry... cant afford it either lol.

seems useful though in a lever gun!!! scoped too- in my case id proberly look up the marlin 375 an scope it as i have a few components for the 375

I would keep the 375 if I had one, but I'd probably buy the 360 if I was buying new.

I have a feeling 360 is going to be a successful cartridge long term, for me it feels like the first new cartridge designed around the straight wall rifle cartridge restrictions that makes sense even if you're not governed by those restrictions.

The Marlins in 375 are freaking nice...would dig a long barreled version with a compact scope on it.

I'm interested in a single shot 360 bhmr. Henry and traditions are suppose to chamber it and the new TC is rumored to support it thru ssk I believe. I hope it does well

360 exists only for states with straight wall case laws. There are fewer of those states annually as the law is hated and not very well thought out.

At some point the 360 will be obsolete.

In my view, buy the gun you like, not the calibre. Ergonomics, aesthetics, etc will matter more and in either case you’ll be reloading for the most part so who really cares which you pick? Performance difference is negligible.

What might give the 360 a foothold as long as state’s mandate straight cartridge laws is the required case length of 1.8” which precludes already straight cartridges like.375w or 38/55. I’m not all that excited about it but it is a peppy little case with a slightly higher velocity (300fps) than the longer .35 Rem.

I have more than enough.35R’s & .375’W’s but if RugerM was to come out with a lever I’d probably be tempted.

how so ? same same id have thought :)
dont they headspace off the case mouth?
He means currently there is a marginally better selection of reloading projectiles on the market, m theory, and predominantly in the USA where the calibre is popular.

In Canada, in my view, potayto, potahto.
