.370 Sako Magnum

Hey, anyone heard of this new cartridge. 9.3x66mm? Looks like the ballistics overlap many other cartridges, as most do.

It interests me a great deal. I would love to find a Sako Deluxe Safari in this calibre. There is a very good article in Guns andAmmo this month by Boddington, basically a 375 H&H with less recoil.

It's been around for a few years. Boonerbuck who posts here sometimes has one, or had one. It's a bit bigger than the 9.3x62

My neighbor has one in a sako 75. I believe the cartridge is based on the '06, preformance lies between 9.3x62 and 9.3x64 brenneke. Expensive and hard to find dies and brass. His doesn't shoot all that great, but he put a brake on it and it may be affecting the accuracy. IMHO unless I found a nice sako pretty resonable, I would just go to the brenneke.

Boonerbuck still has it, a Sako 75 SS stamped 9.3x66 - very very accurate rifle

Ive had one on order since Sept 2007 for a customer in a 85 SS....no delivery in sight yet
