.375 group is officially open now.

I tore apart a 7 mag canoe paddle and put a 375 ruger in a mark2 walnut stock. Likely vice versa wouldn't be a problem....

Back in the day I had three MkII's in those stocks, the biggest in .338WM. Their buttpads were hard and had very small footprints, but I don't recall noticing any difference in how they felt when recoiling. Thinking back, I wonder if perhaps the molded plastic stock has a bit of give to it that acts to reduce the kick a bit? I do recall what a PITA it was to mount a sling in those fixed loops, and then later how an ugly stock grew even uglier when I replaced the loops with a kit (made by Uncle Mike's, I think..) that allowed for the use of QD sling swivels.
