Evening gang,

I've picked myself up a Sako Brown Bear in glorious .375 H&H, let's please not get into the rabbit hole of CRF rifle versus push feed versus Sako hybrid. I just like the calibre and am a sucker for Sako rifles. With that out of the way, looking for input on what you like for ammo in this calibre. My hunting will consist of deer in Ontario bush country north of North Bay area, moose should the MNR smile on me one day and black bear.

I know reloading is the way to go with this calibre to spare expenses and get the most out of it, but a busy work schedule and other priorities are keeping me away from the reloading bench lately.

Open to any input you may have CGN.

Corelok 270gr shot acceptable for me, still have a few rounds at home for rezero new scopes etc so i dont burn up my handloads.

Nosler 270 Accubonds are great for tight groupings in my Sako 85. Big impact on game.

The Federal Powershock 270 and 300 group reasonably well from my rifle but not nearly as tight as the Nosler ammo.

I like the Federal Bear Claw in either 250 or 300 but Federal still loads Nosler Partitions, A frames, JSPs etc in their factory Cape Shok and Vital Shok I believe.

The Factory Remy core lokt was a decent and accurate round on hogs, less expensive also if you shoot frequently.

I have a 375 H&H Magnum Sako 85 Kodiak which I think is an excellent all-weather hunting rifle (except the caliber is a wee bit small for my liking, it would be perfect as a 416). I handload it using 300gr Nosler Accubonds at 2300 fps MV (21-1/4" barrel) otherwise I would purchase Nosler Trophy Grade ammo loaded with 300gr AB's rated at 2400 fps MV. A good balance between downrange energy and wallop.

Going to hunt with it for the next while to see how this venerable small-bore round performs. :p

Thanks for all the feedback gang I've found some Remington core lokt 270 grain at a local shop here. Prophet River looks to have a good selection on hand so it may be time to hand Clay some cash.
