I have just got a basically new 375 rum
Shot 2 times by previous owner(kicks a bit he said)
I couldn’t turn down the price for a stainless synthetic Remington 700 with dies and 100 brass for $600
So now i have some 250gr barnes ttsx some 260 nosler accubonds
I am thinking imr7828 but i am open to other powders.
Any secrets to loading this beast?
This will be my saddle gun for mountain moose and elk hunts.
Not that a guy needs this much power. But i am a believer in it cant be too dead.
 
R 22 works well in my 378wm, with the same bullets. Not the same caliber , but close enought..
There is no such thing as to much gun, unless your face catches the scope. ... . Lol..

I shot a box of factory, found a accurate load with 260 partitions. Loaded up 100. Some 16 years later, im finally running out of those. Its not a plinker, more a two rounds to check zero....go kill something.

Have a bunch of projectile, and bought molds, but have yet to try cast. Have a bunch of partition and accubond, but also plain cup n core.

Mine is a R700 LSS, i put a brake on it. Found a factory take off barrel here, and bought some clearance factory ammo. So I'm set for " barrel burner " and a lifetime of brass, about 240. As noted, I'm at about 120 shots fired, so i doubt any of this really applies.
 
375 RUM is far from a barrel burner. I'd expect to get 2500-3500 rounds out of one before hunting accuracy drops off to the point where you'd look at spinning on a new tube
 
I used mine in a 3 gun match, got every bodies attention ; 300g with 99g of 3841sc in reloads got 4 before annealing was needed, next test is trail boss and 225g
