375 Taylor Finished!!

Hahaha that was a pretty good post SuperCub. Sorry Gatehouse, I wasn't going to get started on that whole "King" arguement. All I really care about is getting a 300gr bullet at 2400fps, give or take. Recoil annoys me, so...
Yes, eventually I'd like to get it checkered, but seeing as I'm a poor bugger these days, it might be a little while before that happens.
All my scopes are mounted that far back. It's just my shooting style is all. I tend to lean away from the rifle, rather than into it when I shoot. My sergeants used to hassle me about it until they saw my range scores. It hasn't been a problem so far on my other rifles, so I guess we will see how it works out on this one.
Bedding will be done in the next week or so.
No, the adjustment covers aren't purple, it is just the lighting. That being said, they are faded as hell, so are more along the lines of a really dark tan/purple instead of black (or whatever the hell colour they are supposed to be.) Like I said, I'm a poor bastard, so putting a brand new Swarovski or Zeiss on the rifle isn't an option at the moment. Hopefully in the future I get some new glass though, and can retire my old Leupy.

You will be pleased with the performance of the Chatfield Taylor. I had one for a few years and hunted most of my game with it. 285gr GrandSlam @ 2680fps and 300gr Hornady RN @ 2500fps. both using IMR4064. Same point of impact @100yards.
