I don't suppose many of you guys are loading for the 375 Win...I have one in a Marlin. Need loads for the 220 Hornady and preferrably H335....not much info out there...

375 win.

Hodgdon #26 manual
220 Hornady H335

39.0 gr @1774...........max 41.0 @1907 fps

Have lots of 375 win data.......but...this is is the only H335 and 220 Hornady specific Load data in all my manuals......

335 seems a little slow for this application, no? Powders in the 4198 range ought to be more suitable.

Plus, the 375 is to the 38-55 what the 450 marlin is to a 45-70. So I'd guess you could use 38-55 load data as a starting point for the 375 and work up from there until you hit an appropriate 375 velocity or pressure signs

You only gain about 80 fps with max loads useing Imr/H4198/ 220 gr Hornady....1988 fps......

however, you only need 31 gr.(MAX) Imr or H 4198 to get there..........

Dont' shoot 375 win, but in a similar strt. wall case in my .444 Marlin... H335 gives me highest velocity and best accuracy.....should work in 375 win too as long as you find the accuracy........should you need any data for 200 gr. or 250 gr. bullets using the applicable Hodgden/ IMR/ or Reloder 7 powders too ......have it available.........

I have some data from a Marlin 375 I once loaded & hunted with.
First in my case H-335 proved to be a very poor powder..poor accuracy & decent velocity but with a lot of muzzle blast.
Check all your loads with a chrony, I found very few published loads actually came anywhere close in velocity claimed.
If you get to actual 2000fps with 220 horns with any accuracy..BE HAPPY :dancingbanana:
In most cases getting enough powder in the case was the deciding factor to eliminate a powder.
In the end either of the 4198 powders worked very well.
The loads I decided on for hunting was 33 1/2 gns of IMR 4198 @ 1950fps.
Best accuracy was 32gns of same powder.
Another peculularity I found with the Marlin was point of impact??
With 4 diff powders at roughly the same velocity I had points of impact of Left 6", Low 3", Right 5" & back to Left 6"

I chrony'd the two factory Win loadings as well with results of 2220fps for the 200gn loads & 1775fps with the 250s, so you can see the 220 Horns run right in the middle velocity wise.

Hope that helped a little :)

I use Reloder 7 in my Win Model 94BB 375 Winchester with cast and jacketed bullets, the 250 gr RCBS gas checked bullets shoot very well out of my rifle and are a cheap alternative to the jacketed bullets which are rather pricey. It is a fun gun to bang the 100 yard gong offhand with.

In my Marlin, I am getting 1" groups with 32.2 gr of IMR4198 behind the Hdy 220 gr FN, Win cases and WLR primers.

You can also try:
- up to 38.6 gr of Re-7
- up to 36.0 gr of H4895
