375 Winchester Ammo

I put a post on EE. Cost for reloads is anywhere from $60-$120 a box!
My father n'law has the bigbore 94. I'm looking also for factory ammo.
I've been offered $100-$200 a box!!!!!!
The last factory boxes he bought were $60-$80.
Seems like gold, importing a case right now!

Is that reloading with resized 30-30 brass?

I decided I would get into reloading. I was able to get dies and I still have one box of 375 plus 10 brass and was able to aquire one bag of 50 brass last week. Oh and to save you time don't bother calling the gun shops in BC, Alberta, NB, NS. I already called them and I think I got the last bag in Ontario.

Not 100% sure, I think it depends on type of case and some last longer than others, probably also depends on the load you using as well. The fellas I know say because of the 375 being straight I might average 10 loads.

I know zero about reloading. How many re-loads would you get out of one brass?

It would be interesting to buy some current Winchester 38-55 shells and take a caliper to them.

I got a box of factory 200s in the safe i dont intend on using but i lucked up on 200 cases + the boxes i shot thru it, reloading at 'hot 38' speed loads I expect 10 loadings or more.
Now using AR2207 and Hawksbury River hard Cast coated 255s i think.

Cheers

Where did you find the projectiles?

Obviously my foresight in firearms/ammo is better than in women! I was lucky enough to get a .375WW, .375 Marlin & a 14in .375 Contender barrel, .356WW, .307WW and the 7x30Waters in both rifle & carbine.$450 was the most I paid, and that was for the Marlin, the .356 was $400 & came with a lthr case, dies and 200rnds of handloaded 180gr Speers @ 2600fps (a thumper!), 50 brass & 4 boxes of WW250gr factory. A few years ago at a local show a young guy had 11bxs of .307, said he would like to get $100 for all because they were obsolete. DONE! Then my OCD kicked in whenever I saw odd-ball ammo, brass or bullets. Such deals are getting scarce tho. More than I will ever need, like really, 300+ new .30Rem cases!!??

This thread is confusing .The same dies that load 375 win also load 38-55 win .Why would you fire form 38-55 ?,375 win is shorter than 38-55 .Starline brass in 38-55 is in stock at RWTC as well as BB cast bullets
only suggest to not load the 38-55 brass up to 375 data if you own both rifles for obvious reason
375 2.020 case
38-55 2.085

Case wall thickness, the 375 is a thicker case to hold up to the heavier loads, you can load them to 38-55 levels but not 375 Win levels.
