Do you need to crimp your reloads. With the long free bore I have not done so.
With H4198 and 225gr HornadySP the rifle shoots very poorely. While it shoots realy well with crimped 200gr Win factory ammo.

I made up some test loads with H110 and
H322 and Hornady 225gr SP

no need to crimp for a single shot :)

With no mag box, there's no way the recoil of a previous round is going to mess with your ammo.

Have you tried 4227? it's between 110 and 4198, but still has the temperature stability of the other hodgdon rifle powders (110 does not)

I have been using Alliant Reloder 7 in my 375 Win BB94 and it works very well with cast and jacketed bullets. I crimp my reloads but they are going in a magazine tube in my lever gun.
