38-55 Ruger number 1 ?

I need a relatively warm load to knock over a steel plate offhand at 100 to 150 yds.
looking for 1.5 moa if possible by someone who shoots falling block rifles at old time shoots

In a Ruger #1 why not use 375 win load data. If you were worried about the 38/55 brass you could use 375 win brass as well, though I don't think I would be.

Good idea, didn't think of it however there isn't a great deal of 375 win data either.

Part of the reason for changing was recoil, 45-70 rugers kick.

I also have 2 other 38-55's so i want to keep pressures down.
