38 S&W reloads wanted

Note that it is illegal for someone to load for you unless they have all the permits, approvals from Natural Resources Canada (NRCAN), and that includes having the specific load tested and approved.
It is the same reason why there aren't any "custom" reloaders in Canada other than the few who reload a high volume of handgun rounds. A custom reloader would have to get each and every load tested and approved, at a cost of (I believe) around $1,500 per test.
That said, you can go to someones house and load them yourself with their help.

Another thing to add.
Don't shoot someone elses handloads!
Now don't somebody scream that I am telling them what they can or can't do. I am only stating my own view, which I think is common sense.
"Oops, was that 231? Thought it was 296!"
By the same token, I won't let anyone else shoot my handloads, except when they are with me and shoot them in my rifle.
No way will I handload for anyone else.

Lee press and dies. Add components, you're rolling for well under $200, the press and dies will last a long time, if you take care of them. It's rocket science, true, but if you have time to read directions, and patience to follow them, it's as safe as anything else you'll do with firearms.

WSS in Saskatoon this morning on the way back from Edmonton ( none there ) - $38.00 for Remington and they had another 8 or 10 boxes. Also stopped at Home Hardware in Yorkton 3 hours later and they had about 15 boxes of Winchester on the shelf but the one guy working the counter was busy with a rifle and scope deal and had 3 other people in line ahead of me so I'll go back in a couple of weeks. Have the dies and brass but haven't slugged the bore yet on the new to me pre/early war M&P 5" S&W so will probably be hunting for a mold closer to 200grains than the 150 grain wadcutter .358 I currently have. Don't be too quick to be chasing up a 200 grain bullet for the .38 S&W. I tried and found that I had some success with 150 grain SWC, and better luck with 135 grain RFN. It is tricky, with the very small case capacity and short case to load to any reasonable velocity for this cartridge, and keep pressures reasonable.
You really have to make sure that you are not seating the bullet too deeply.

I tried the 195gr RCBS RN, and it neither shot well, nor to the sights, even though it was an original loading. With it, you're looking at 600 fps at the most (I used 1.8grs of Bullseye).
My gun shoots a 140gr WC very well over 1.8grs of Bullseye or Clays. I tried Trail Boss in the 38 S&W and it's too slow for that tiny case. Full cases gave very slow velocities (450-550 fps) at bullet weights from 195 to 130 grs.
