Looking to sell an old .38 Smith and Wesson police special. Black with wooden handle. Decent shape but not mint. Any ideas of the value?

Also have a .38 Colt that is chrome in good condition. Debating on selling? Curious as to value as well?

Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks

I have a green truck. Whats it worth?? :D
You need to be more specific.
38S&W is the caliber(probably), what is the model? Pics would be helpful.
Same with the other gun.

.Points to clarify: The first one is a Smith & Wesson made revolver, in calibre 38 S&W, or is it in .38Special? the most reliable model designation in Smith & Wesson revolver is the model number. The name "police special" might be applicable to several variants. The Model 10 was a popular model with police services, but that still leaves room for variants. Barrel length is also an issue. And is it a heavy barrel, with or with out a rib on top, with a full or partial underlug?

As da Bear suggests, pictures would answer a lot of this, meanwhile we could guess from what you say so far that they are probably worth $200-500 each, and either or both could be more or less than that range.
