38 Special load (PPC)-powder suggestions

I am using 3.1 grns of W231 with a 148 lead wad cutter right now out of a 686 and it is very accurate. Problem is, I find it is pretty dirty. I switched to using Clay's in my 45ACP from 231 and found a huge difference, same accuracy but a fraction of the residue.
If anyone has some suggestions for the 38, I'd like to hear them. Is anyone using Clay's for a PPC load?

I never had any luck with Clays.

I use 2.8gr Bullseye with the 148gr HBWC.

ST is a nasty load...

Bullseye or 231 are the common ones.... Your shooting lead in a light load with a hot powder... dirty is all you will get..

You can mitigate it with a plated HBWC... I'm gonna check em out soon...
